Last month, we went to The Good Business Festival and at each session, the speakers were invited to share a positive action for the audience to take away. Our friends at The Good Business Festival shared a round-up of their top 10 do good to do’s and we thought it was the perfect thing to share with our followers.
Top 10 do good to do’s:
- Sign up to the Fair Employment Charter
- Sign up to the Better Business Act — James Ghaffari, B Lab UK
- Read the One-Day report which looks at LCR investment in female-led industries
- Research and implement one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — Jessica Lobo, UN Global Compact Network UK
- Join 6% and Rising in creating 100 paid employment positions across Liverpool City Region for individuals with learning difficulties — Harry Georgiou, 6% and Rising
- Follow your money and be conscious of where you put it — what are your bank, suppliers, pension provider doing to be ethical and sustainable? If it’s not enough, change.
- Act with intent — reject single-use items — use and carry reusable items, buy locally from independent and social businesses, shop second-hand, walk or ride a bike where possible.
- Use your voice — write to your local MP’s, local authorities and favourite brands to demand the change you want to see. — Beth Thoren, Patagonia
